Your Fearless Leaders.

Miami University Graduate Student Association Executive Board

President | Greta Smith

Greta is a third year PhD studying English Literature.  Her research interests include literature from the Middle Ages and early Renaissance, particularly the prevalence of Aesops fables in the literature from these time periods, and the ways that usage of the fable shows a developing culture of literacy, as well as celebrating an oral past.  When not doing that, she spends most of her time riding her horse, or taking care of her other animals, including goats, sheep, cows and chickens.

Vice Presidents | Sarah Senff & Nathan Figeuroa

Sarah is a second-year MA student in the Department of Theatre with a graduate certificate in Women's, Gender and Sexuality Studies.  Her current research focuses on theatre for social change and representations of illness on the contemporary stage, especially concerning women and cancer.  Her thesis focuses on the potential for storytelling to serve as a therapeutic means to restore the voices silenced by catastrophic illness, and community-based theatre's roles in that intervention.

Nathan is in Computer Science.

Secretary & Communications Chair | Josh Kiger

Josh is a first year MA with the History Program including a certificate in Women, Gender, & Sexuality Studies. He is researching the effects of 18th century merchants and Caribbean plantation politics on Massachusetts family & societal values.
